MRI Signage Client Interface (In Progress)
Sometimes you don't have to reinvent the wheel, just add to it. MRI approached GDI Systems as one of the digital signage systems in use needed improvement on its user interface.
Not needing to touch any of their actual server controls, we were lucky enough that they provided an API into their systems.
We're currently writing a wrapper application around their system, allowing multiple users from any location to tie into the same network of signs.
LearnStyle CMTS
A custom management and tracking system for LearnStyle Ltd.
Allowed appointments to be distributed and tracked between administration and consultants, integrating with Outlook calendars.
Features included full offline capability, live on-screen signatures with tablet PC and automatic syncing with server when internet connection became available.
K Promotions Ltd
K Promotions Ltd, a leading promotional retailer, had a custom website that was only 80% finished.
Apart from finishing the site and patching numerous glitches, we incorporated a full catalog text search, improved product features and admin, and an enhanced pricing and discount structure.
Make Memories Faster with Qwest
This Qwest holiday promotion was brought about by Monster Media and MCM-COM.
At different kiosks across the USA, users would create dancing versions of Zip, this cute little elf, and send with custom messages to family or friends.
GDI Systems was brought on board to hook up and coordinate the data transfer between the kiosks and the central website.
LearnStyle Public website and Survey
GDI Systems first project with LearnStyle Ltd, they were in need of a public facing website for general information and marketing purposes.
This quickly turned into a custom survey portal, where users could go on and fill out a short survey after they had met with LearnStyle's consultant.
Reporting segragating various types of respondants was available on the fly to LearnStyle's administrators.
@Work Online Magazine
A project to perform highly customized skinning and list integration to a Sharepoint site, GDI Systems was brought in to create a custom web part pulling in the top viewed articles.
The system was attached to Google Analytics, and the webpart would read from GA, cache the results for a configurable amount of time, and display on the page.
All aspects of the webpart were customizable via a custom Sharepoint List.
3ML Systems public website
3ML Systems, a provider of online survey programming solutions hired GDI Systems to create a flash-intensive public facing website.
Detailed animations and various transition effects were used to create a fast entertaining interface.
Akonomi B2B Networking Site (In progress)
A networking site aimed at allowing businesses to communicate and source new vendors and clients, Akonomi allowed posting profiles, messaging, and all the standard items you would expect form a networking site.
Features included company "linking", directed messaging and full text company / vendor search.
RetailCom DSMS
A robust Digital Signage platform created for RetailCom Inc., allowed any number of users from their desktop to upload, coordinate and distribute playlists of various types of content to any number or grouping of monitors across North America.
Features included future scheduling, dayparting, proof of performance uploads and detailed user rights management.
Conversation Bytes
Created for Espresso, Conversation Bytes was a multi-channel aggregator of social media.
APIs for the major social media sites (Twitter, Flickr, Facebook) were leveraged to read and aggregate information from the targeted channels.
Administrators were allowed to create new channels and setup the various feeds from the other networks, which were then polled by a windows service at regular intervals to bring in the most current data.
Mobile Moment
MobileMoment.ca was created to support an innovative marketing campaign conceived and executed by Espresso.
The website allowed users to register and post missed connections of people they saw and wanted to connect with across Toronto.
Features included shortcode support so users could text their "moments" onto the website, and GoogleMaps integration allowing users to search by and specify the actual location of their target.
A Facebook application was also created allowing users to add the app to their profiles and search and add posts directly from Facebook.
